The Heyford Park Business Network is a friendly monthly business networking event for small business owners, solopreneurs, and local professionals based in Heyford Park, Bicester, Oxfordshire and the surrounding towns and villages. It’s a relaxed, supportive space to connect, collaborate, share insights, and grow your business network without pressure or forced pitching.

When and how often do events take place?

We meet on the last Tuesday of every month (unless otherwise noted) from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Exact dates are published on our website and newsletter. To join newsletter please use the contact for on the site.

Events are usually held at The Baton Restaurant, located within The Heyford Hotel, Heyford Park, Oxfordshire, OX25 5HD

How much does it cost to attend?

It’s £10 per person, payable on the door (cash or card). This includes tea and coffee and access to the full networking event — no membership fee required

Do I need to register in advance to attend?

Accepted Answer

No — no pre-registration or RSVP is required. You can simply turn up on the day and pay at the door. :)

Can I bring a guest with me?

Yes - anyone interested in small business networking is welcome to attend. Just ensure each person pays the event fee on arrival.

Is parking available at the venue?

Accepted Answer

Yes — free parking is available on site at The Baton / The Heyford, and additional parking can usually be found nearby. We recommend checking local signage on the day and don't forget to register your number plate at reception if you part at the Baton/ The Heyford.  Parking is at your own risk.

Most events attract around 20–25 local business owners and solopreneurs, creating a friendly atmosphere that’s big enough to make meaningful connections but small enough to feel welcoming.

Do you feature speakers at your events?

Accepted Answer

Yes - many events include a short BizBoost Speaker segment (10–15 minutes) where local experts share practical business insights (for example on marketing, strategy, tax, social media, etc.). If you would like to present at one, please contact us! :)

Is there an online community I can join?

Yes — we run an active Facebook Community Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/793267872545857)where members continue conversations, share resources, and stay connected between monthly meet-ups. Do I have to pitch my business at your events?

Accepted Answer

No. We focus on genuine connection rather than pressure pitching. Conversations are relaxed, supportive, and centred around meaningful relationship building.

At each event, there is an optional 20-second ‘around the room’ introduction where you can briefly say who you are and what you do. There’s no pressure to do this — if you’d rather just listen and chat naturally, that’s absolutely fine too.

Are there any lock-outs?

No. The Heyford Park Business Network is open to all industries, backgrounds, and business types.
We intentionally avoid silos or single-sector groups. Our events bring together a diverse mix of local business owners and solopreneurs because we believe the best connections - and the best growth - happen when different perspectives, skills, and experiences come together in the same room.

Can I attend if I don't live in Heyford Park?

Absolutely. Many attendees come from Bicester, Kidlington, Banbury, Oxford, and surrounding Oxfordshire villages, as well as other counties.

What happens during the 2 hour networking event?

Accepted Answer

The event starts with around 30 minutes of informal networking over tea and coffee.
This is usually followed by an informative BizBoost talk on something topical and useful for small business owners - such as marketing, branding, social media, AI, and more.
After the talk, it’s back to relaxed networking and conversations.

There is also a short, optional 20-second ‘around the room’ introduction where you can briefly share who you are and what you do - but there’s no pressure to take part if you’d prefer not to.
